Who are they Really?

Pockie Pirates is based off of the manga/anime series One Piece.  Most of the characters you'll find are from that series.  Every A rank and higher character you can recruit is from One Piece.  But if you're not a One Piece fan... aren't you curious who's actually fighting for you in your crew?

Luffy: His full name is Monkey D Luffy, also known as Strawhat Luffy.  He's the captain of the Strawhat pirates and currently has a 400,000,000 Beri bounty.  He doesn't care for politics and he didn't become a pirate to plunder or become rich.  He simply wants to be free.  And the man who is the most free is the man who can become Pirate King.  Luffy and company, unbeknownst to them, are currently fighting against Joker (also known as Doflamingo) and his underworld forces on the fire and ice island of Punk Hazard.  Just another step on the way to becoming Pirate King!

Luffy will help you when you start your quest and for some gold he will help you in the Davy Back fight.  Luffy currently cannot be recruited.

East Blue Bar

At level 15 you can access the East Blue Bar.

Alvida (Fat): She joins your crew for free after you finish her quest line.  She's a fierce some female pirate, also known as Iron Mace Alvida.  Her crew and her enemies are afraid of her iron mace.  She is the first pirate Luffy encounters are setting out on his journey to become Pirate King.  After meeting Coby, a deckhand for the Alvida Pirates (he got stuck on Alvida's ship when he accidentally got on the wrong ship when going fishing) and hearing his plea to be rid of Alvida once and for all, Luffy decides to help Coby get away from Alvida.  Luffy easily dispatches Alvida, freeing Coby.

Alvida believes she is the most beautiful woman on all the seas.  In the early chapters of One Piece this is .... very far from the truth.  Fat Alvida both in Pockie Pirates and One Piece is a one trick pony.  She can swing her club.  That's it.

Buchi:  Buchi along with his brother Sham are the two protectors of the Black Cat pirate's ship.  They are known as the Nyaban Brothers.  When Kuro's final plan goes into motion and the Black Cats attack Syrup Village, the Nyaban Brothers are forced to act when Usopp, Zoro, and Nami attempt to hold the pirates on the shore.  Luffy would be helping as well, but he ran the wrong way and then got put to sleep.  Buchi and Sham are eventually defeated by Zoro.

Buggy:  Buggy the Clown is one of the most feared pirates on the East Blue.  When Buggy was a kid, he was a member of Gold Roger's crew along with his "friend" Shanks.  Buggy had always been greedy when it came to treasure.  After stealing a devil fruit the crew found, he attempted to escape to sell it to fund his own crew and hopefully find a lost treasure he's been researching.  But instead he accidentally eats the fruit.  He ate the Chop-Chop fruit.  Now his body can be cut into pieces and as long as they're in range of his feet, he can freely move those pieces anywhere.

Buggy is the second pirate, and third "bad guy" Luffy encounters on his adventure.  After seeing the endurance of a village's elder, Luffy decides to help free that village from Buggy's occupation.  During this encounter Luffy also learns more about the Grand Line.  After a tough battle, and with a little help from the ever sneaky Nami, Luffy defeats Buggy and sends him flying.

Buggy and Luffy meet up once again in Loguetown as Buggy and Alvida attempt to get revenge on him.  This plot is foiled by what seems to be some deus ex machina until Dragon appears in town.  Buggy and Luffy once again meet up in Impel Down where Buggy is being held prisoner.  Luffy frees him and they eventually work together as they head from Impel Down to Marineford to save Luffy's brother Ace.  After the War, Buggy is seen getting a letter carried by a black bat.  The black bat was last seen delivering Jimbei the Government's offer to make him one of the Seven Warlords. Is Buggy currently a friend or an enemy to the Strawhats?  Only time will tell.

Cabaji:  Cabaji the Acrobat is the second mate of the Buggy pirates.  Until Buggy is arrested he can always been seen at Buggy's side along with Mohji.  Cabaji fights against Zoro in the Strawhat's first encounter with Buggy.  Zoro is able to defeat him.  After escaping Impel Down, Buggy meets back up with his crew.  Cabaji is by Buggy's side when he receives the Government's letter.

Gin: Gin the Man-Demon is a member of the Krieg Pirates.  He was with Krieg on the Grand Line and was able to escape along with Krieg.  After returning to the East Blue, the Krieg pirates encountered the marine Fullbody.  Gin pretended to be Krieg and save him from being arrested.  Gin is able to escape Fullbody when Fullbody goes to Baratie to eat.  Although a member of one of the most wanted pirate groups in the East Blue, Sanji has sympathy for Gin when he enters the restaurant exhausted and starving.

When Gin leaves and tells Krieg what Sanji did for him, Krieg returns to the restaraunt for food.  Sanji once again has sympathy for a starving pirate and feeds Krieg.  However when Krieg regains his strength he attacks Baratie, against Gin's wishes.  Throughout the Baratie battle, Gin is conflicted.  He is grateful that this restaraunt saved his captain and crew's lives and doesn't want to attack them, but he is still loyal to Krieg.  In the end, both Gin and Krieg are defeated.  When Krieg refuses to accept defeat, Gin punches him, knocking him out.  Gin mentions that they must accept defeat and start over.  Gin then thanks Sanji and Luffy and leaves.

Helmeppo:  Helmeppo is the son of the marine Axe-Hand Morgan.  He is a spoiled kid who believes he can run to his dad whenever he has a problem.  However, Luffy shows up to the marine base to find Zoro who is being held prisoner there.  This leads to a confrontation between Helmeppo and the first two Strawhats, as well as a showdown between Morgan and Luffy.

After Morgan's defeat, Helmeppo joins the marines along with Coby.  Together they train under Vice Admiral Garp.  They are present for the Marineford war, along not strong enough to make a difference.  Their whereabouts are unknown post time skip.

Jango: Jango is a hypnotist and the first mate (and acting captain) of the Black Cat Pirates.  When Kuro attacks Syrup Village, Jango is ordered to kill Kaya, but is eventually defeated by Usopp and Zoro.  After the fall of Kuro and the Black Cat Pirates, Jango enters a dance competition and befriends Ironfist Fullbody. After saving Fullbody's life, Jango is pardoned and allowed to enter the marines.  He currently servers alongside Fullbody under Captain Hina.  They too were at the Marineford war.

Mohji: Mohji is the first mate of the Buggy pirates.  Like Cabaji, Mohji was defeated during Luffy's encounter with Buggy.  Mohji and Cabji, along with Richie, kept the Buggy pirates together during Buggy's absences.  Mohji was last seen when Buggy returned to his crew after the Marineford war and received the letter from the World Government.

Morgan:  Axe Hand Morgan is a captain in the marines.  He is a barbaric captain, commanding his troops with fear.  When trying to save Zoro, Luffy is forced to encounter Morgan.  After Luffy defeats Morgan, Morgan's own men arrest him.  In Pockie Pirates you will see Morgan in a prison uniform for this reason.  While being transported to Impel Down, Morgan is able to escape Vice Admiral Garp.  His current whereabouts are unknown.

Satori:  Satori is one of the four Skypeia Priests under God Enel.   When undergoing the trial punishment, people may encounter his Ordeal of Balls.  Like the other Skypeia Priests, Satori is rather sadistic.  Luffy, Sanji, and Usopp encounter him and are eventually able to defeat him.

Sham:  Sham is the brother to Buchi and one of the Nyaban Brothers.  Like Buchi, he is forced to fight when the early Strawhats and Black Cat Pirates collide.  He is also defeated by Zoro.

Shura:  Shura is also one of the four Skypeia Priests.  He commands the Ordeal of String.  Using his strings as traps, he is able to then pounce on people with his Heat Javelin.  During Enel's Survival Game prior to his plan to destroy Skypeia, Shura is the first person to be defeated.  He is taken down by Wiper.
